Yo-Yo Exercising

My poor body. Due to my fertility treatments, I have been a yo-yo exerciser. Just when I thought I had started to get in better shape, I stopped. Then half-way started up again. Then stopped again. You get the picture, right.

So yesterday I started 30 Day Shred AGAIN. I thought I was going to DIE!!! I couldn't finish the push-ups, or the lunges, or the side to side arm lift things. Jillian would have been screaming at me could she see the wimp that I was...(Thank goodness she couldn't.)

So today I tried to talk myself out of doing it again. I thought about doing the Biggest Loser Power Sculpt video, but I knew that it wouldn't be as hard, and when every muscle in my body hurts, something must be right? or wrong... :) So the little angel on my shoulder won out over the little wimpy devil, and I did it again. Yea for me. I even managed on both days, to do 30 mins on my elliptical after. Even though I felt like Jello.

So I probably ate a bit too many calories today, and started picking my body apart, and then I thought about how I can only do better if I can keep up the workouts. I saw major improvements before I stopped last time, and now, with no (forced) stopping in sight, I am so excited. Maybe I can really get into shape this time for the first time in YEARS!

The 30 Day Shred is tough! Great job on doing it two days in a row!

I am a total Yo-Yo exerciser!!

This last week, I worked out 5 days in a row, which is a record for me!! I too, want to get to the point where it just comes naturally and I don't have to psych myself up for it!

Great job on doing shred, I also couldn't do all those push ups! That's hard stuff!

Hey check out a new blog www.dietreality.com. It is all about mood and energy. It makes sense, and their suggested mood and energy pill works. I order the sample, and now order my own bottle. My husband really likes it too.

That's awesome that you let the angel take control. Just remember how great you will feel when you hit your goals and I always recommend taking picts to track the best progress to really keep your motivation sky high! I would say good luck, but I think you have it all under control!

Where are you? I hope all is well and you're busy doing great stuff.

I had a 3 level cervical disc fusion a year ago and am starting over. I'm using my own workout dvds and am creating a new workout which is helping me stick to exercise.

I have a blogspot too.

As for your exercise, you really should consider adding in weight training. All your yo-yo dieting has stripped your body of muscle so your metabolism has dropped. The cardio will help a little, but you need to regain some muscle. I predict that if you follow your plan, you'll lose some body fat at first but a few weeks in you'll hit a wall.

Its one of the objectives of dieting and exercising is to become healthy, yo-yo diets defeat the very purpose of controlling what you eat.

Yey! Good for you. On the contrary of this entry, I was trying to look fat but I couldn't. I am skinny and tired of being like this. I want to look fat but no matter how hard I try, I couldn't reach my goal.

I wish there's also an effective way for my goal :-)

If you want success in something you have to go all the way. Some people may say your obsessive but your the one with the results. I find the people that criticize me the most are the ones that can't do it themselves.

Wow! 30 day shred! Is it not harmful? Anyway, I really want to exercise. But when I walk a distance just to sweat it out, my knees start to hurt. Also, it seems like I am not motivated to exercise at all.

I didn't do Yo-Yo Exercising yet. Heard it helps a lot though. I think you need to do it regularly and it is not necessary to exhaust yourself.

Hi, I have this same problem and finally found something that works for me. If I do the hardcore exercises every other day and on off days do fun exercising like running with the dog, hiking or biking, this somehow keeps me on schedule. If I take a day totally off then I am in trouble.
